A Gentle Welcome at the Start of the Day

From 6:45 a.m., our daycare service opens its doors to welcome students. This moment allows for a smooth transition between home and school, giving children time to prepare calmly for the day’s activities.

At 8:15 a.m., classes officially begin. Homeroom teachers welcome their groups to begin the morning’s learning activities, taking advantage of the hours when students’ concentration is at its best.

A Balanced Rhythm Between Learning and Rest

The school day ends at 3:15 p.m. and is punctuated with essential rest periods. Two recesses — one in the morning and one in the afternoon — allow students to move, socialize and recharge. A 60-minute lunch break provides a true midday break, so students return to class with energy for the afternoon classes.

At the end of the day, the daycare service takes over until 6:00 p.m., to adapt to your family’s schedule

Pedagogical Support Integrated into the Schedule

What sets the Collège Sainte-Marcelline schedule apart is its approach to student support. Every week, a dedicated period is set aside for small-group work, integrated directly into the subject schedule, without encroaching on other classes.

This structure allows each homeroom teacher to work closely with students who need it. In a small group, children feel more comfortable asking questions, gaps are identified quickly and concepts are consolidated before becoming obstacles. A weekly follow-up that makes a real difference.

A Comprehensive View of Education

By ending the school day at 3:15 p.m., we offer students a healthy balance between their academic responsibilities and their family or extracurricular lives. Our schedule reflects our mission: to offer a rigorous education while remaining deeply human and attentive to every student’s needs.
