Supporting Students Every Day
Homeroom Teachers
Homeroom Teachers
Every high school class is accompanied by a homeroom teacher, the primary point of contact for the student and her family. Present every day, the homeroom teacher looks after every student’s overall well-being and supports her in resolving personal and academic challenges. She monitors behaviour, facilitates adaptation to school life and communicates relevant information to students and their parents. Her central role is to be the bridge between the family, students, teachers and the administration.
It is always possible to communicate directly with a teacher or with the administration through the school portal or by phone message.
Psychosocial Counsellor
The psychosocial counsellor accompanies students in their personal and social development. Through themed workshops and individual meetings, she offers tailored support that promotes well-being, active listening and everyday conflict resolution.
Learning Support (Orthopédagogie)
Learning support assists students who have difficulty in reading, writing or mathematics, as well as those facing challenges with study strategies, organization or the use of technological tools. The learning support specialist assesses each student’s needs, identifies learning obstacles and proposes personalized interventions aimed at progression, autonomy and success. She works closely with teachers to ensure consistent and school-aligned actions.
In high school, a Telus Health —Children’s Support learning specialist is also available for individual sessions, for a fee. She collaborates with teachers to put in place accommodations for students who can benefit from them.

Accommodations for High-Performance Athletes (Sport Plus)

Sport Plus is not a sport-études program. Rather, it is a program that offers, where possible, an adapted schedule for students who compete at high levels (elite sport: provincial, national and/or international competitions) — allowing them to receive an excellent education while training outside the school. However, please note that students who play competitive tennis are not eligible for this program because their training schedules are not compatible with our services.
At the time of admission, interested parents may submit a request. Conditions for joining this program are as follows:
- Submit a letter from the coach, specifying the sport practiced, the sports club, the level and the number of training hours per week
- Declare the student’s absenteeism rate at training sessions. If this rate is too high, the student will be automatically removed from Sport Plus
- Training must be a minimum of 14 hours/week for a single sport (hours from multiple sports cannot be combined)
- Maintain a minimum overall average of 70% and 65% in French and mathematics
- Several types of accommodations are available, based on the athlete’s needs
French and Mathematics Reinforcement

Français Plus — Grades 7 and 8
One period per week in Grade 7 and Grade 8 is dedicated to vocabulary and oral French expression enrichment. This period allows students to work, in an amusing way, on elements that support their French language learning.
Mathématique Plus — Grade 8
A free mathematics reinforcement course, offered after school, once a week, in Grades 8 and 9 (and sometimes in Grade 10), for selected students who are experiencing difficulties in this subject.

French (Ministry Exam Preparation) — Grade 11
A preparation course for the Ministry writing exam in Grade 11 is offered after school once a week for students experiencing writing difficulties. The objective is to improve their French written skills and to prepare them for this exam.
